Science Learning Center

The Science Learning Center is located in P333, P334 and P340, offering various resources which are all free to students. The SLC features tutors, software, videos, CD-ROMs, internet, models, places to study quietly, places for group work, and other materials to assist in science classes. Instructor-provided materials for specific classes are also available for loan.
A North Lake College ID Card is required to access all resources of the SLC. The subject-specific schedule of tutors is updated every semester and is located here.
The Science Learning Center provides student services in the following subjects (majors and non-majors):

Learning Center Rules

  • Sign in and out with every visit.
  • Cell phones on silent mode only. Take calls outside the Learning Center.
  • North Lake ID required – free in L240. Models, textbooks, and other materials must be checked out from a tutor with your ID.
  • Computers are for science use only.
